NEW ORLEANS, LA - The Johns Hopkins women's cross country team landed four in the USTFCCCA's All-Academic honor list for cross country. Senior Emma Hiza, senior Rachel Hogen, junior Mary O'Grady and sophomore Christina Valerio received the accolades from US Track & Field for their academic and athletic contributions.

To be considered for the award, the athlete must finish in the top 25 percent of their respective NCAA Regional and have earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better.

The Blue Jays won the Mideast Regional on November 15 for the first time in school history. Hiza finished in 22nd place and Hogen placed 23. O'Grady came across the finish line in 66th place with Valerio finished in 73rd place. 305 women from the region competed in the meet.

The Centennial Conference landed 19 student-athletes on the list, the third-best by an NCAA Division III conference.
