Hulme, Dickinson Win Once Again at Centennial Women's Cross Country Championships
Oct. 29, 2005 TIMONIUM, MD - Dickinson senior Emily Hulme took home her second straight Centennial Conference individual cross country title, and led the Red Devils to their sixth win in a row, at Oregon Ridge Park on Saturday. Dickinson nearly completed a sweep of the field, taking four of the top five spots. Only Muhlenberg senior Karen Mount was able to fend off the Red Devils, sneaking in at fourth place. Overall, Dickinson had 18 points, the lowest score in Centennial Championship history. Haverford was the Red Red Devils' next closest competitor, finishing with 67. Hulme paced the 6k course by finishing in 21:51, the only runner to clock in at 22 minutes or less. She eclipsed her winning time of 22:47 at McDaniel in the 2004 Centennial Championships. Dickinson was ranked seventh in Division III in the Oct. 18 national polls. Finishing second was Haverford, who took the spot for the sixth time in seven years. Sophomore Jane Weber led the Fords with a sixth place finish and a time of 22:56
