Blue Jays Place 14th at Gettysburg Invitational

GETTYSBURG, PA - The Johns Hopkins women's cross country "B" team totaled 328 points and placed 14th in a field of 25 teams at the Gettysburg Invitational on Saturday. Shippensburg captured the team title with 72 points, followed closely by St. Thomas (77). Rounding out the top five were Gettysburg (157), Washington & Lee (166) and Marywood (167).

Sophomore Annie Monagle paced the Blue Jays with a time of 24:54.14 to place 44th out of 290 runners. Freshman Sydney Coates placed 57th with a time of 25:06.56, while freshman Molly Van Doren took 75th place with a time of 25:33.69.

Junior Ashton Williams finished in 25:55.99, good for 91st overall, with freshman Kimia Ganjaei close behind 94th place at 25:58.24.

Hopkins will return to action on Saturday, October 30 at the Centennial Conference Championships in Elkridge, MD at Patapsco Valley State Park.
