The Johns Hopkins women's cross country team traveled to Franklin & Marshall to compete in the F&M Cross Country Invite on Saturday. Sophomore Megan Brower was the first Blue Jay to cross the finish line in a time of 19:33.70 for third place in a field of 42 runners.
Charlotte Healy came in shortly behind Brower at fifth place in 19:48.60. Sophomore Elizabeth Laseter placed seventh in 20:07.90 and freshman Cassie Cummings followed in ninth place with a time of 20:14.70. Freshman Maggie Ashton crossed the line in 20:16.80 for 15th place, while freshman Rebecca O'Malley ran a 20:50.90 for 20th place. Senior Allison Stoddart finished the course in 21:27.00 to place 23rd and senior Jordan Ireton earned 32nd place in 21:49.80. Sophomore Laura Kranish ran the 5k in 22:38.70 to place 35th, junior Nadia McMillan placed 40th in a time of 24:12.60 and freshman Catherine George placed 41st in 24:39.50.
The Blue Jays travel to Gettysburg on Saturday October 18 for the Gettysburg Invitational. The competition starts at 10 a.m.
