Hopkins Places Third at Goucher Invitational

TOWSON, MD - The Johns Hopkins women's cross country team totaled 55 points to place third out of 10 teams at the Goucher Invitational on Saturday in Towson. Susquehanna won the race with 42 points, while Goucher finished a close second with 45 points. Juniata (89) and York (116) rounded out the top five.

Freshman Holly Clarke paced the Blue Jays with a time of 25:27.70 to finish eighth. Sophomore Anne Monagle was the second Blue Jay to finish at 25:41.00, good for 10th place. Freshman Sydney Coates took 12th place with a time of 25:58.40, while classmate Molly Van Doren captured 14th at 26:03.00.

Junior Ashton Williams (16th/26:13.10), sophomore Marie Ferguson (23rd/26:38.20) and freshman Meghan Byrnes (28th/26:64.60) completed the top seven finishers for the Blue Jays.

Hopkins returns to action on Saturday, October 16 at the Gettysburg Invitational at 11 am.
