TERRE HAUTE, IN - Freshman Hannah Oneda won her third race of the season to lead the No. 3 Johns Hopkins women's cross country team to a first place finish at the NCAA Division III Pre-National Meet Saturday.

The Blue Jays (52 points) grabbed six of the first 20 places to earn the victory, followed by No. 6 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (77 points) and Olivet Nazarene (108 points).

Oneda led the field of 326 runners across the line in 21:37, eight seconds ahead of Augustana (Ill.) runner-up Sarahbeth Jones.

Holly Clarke finished 15 seconds behind Oneda for third overall, as Annie Monagle and Sophia Meehan finished in 22:45 (16th) and 22:49 (17th), respectively. Junior Lara Shegoski rounded out the top five for Hopkins in 22:51 (19th).

"Annie [Monagle], Sophia [Meehan] and Ashley [Murphy] really worked well together throughout the entire race, and along with Lara [Shegoski], they give us a lot of depth up front," said head coach Bobby Van Allen.

Hopkins has two weeks off before returning to action on October 27 for the Centennial Conference Championships in Haverford, PA. The Blue Jay women have won four consecutive conference titles.
