Women's Cross Country Dominates Mustang Stampede

The Short Story: The defending National Champion Johns Hopkins cross country team opened up the season with a win, claiming the top spot in the Mustang Stampede. Felicia Koerner led the way for the Jays, who earned the top six spots in the race.

How it Happened
• Koerner won her first race of the season, finishing in 14:23.03.
Ellie Clawson finished 0:06.6 seconds behind her teammate with a mark of 14:29.58.
Caroline Smith (14:31.42), Therese Olshanski (14:42.69), Kristin Meek (15:07.64), and Gina D’Addario (15:08.87) finished in spots 3-6.
Rebecca Grusby (15:11.86) and Erin Jones (15:31.20) rounded out the top ten for the Blue Jays, finishing eighth and tenth respectively.

Up Next
• The Jays will return to the course on September 15 to compete in the Iona Meet of Champions. The race will begin at 10 am.
