LANCASTER, PA - Senior Alex Zenoff (San Francisco, CA/San Francisco University HS) of the Johns Hopkins women's volleyball team was named an Honorable Mention on the 2009 All-Centennial Conference Team. She brings the total number of All-Conference selections at Hopkins to 47. The Blue Jays also had seven players named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll.
Zenoff received her second All-Centennial honors as she earned second team honors in 2008. Zenoff had 235 kills for a hitting percentage of 0.309 this season. She also recorded 59 blocks this season.
Zenoff is in the top ten at Johns Hopkins in two career categories. She ranks second all-time with a career hitting percentage of 0.294. She is also ninth in career blocks with 204. Zenoff was also named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll.
Zenoff is joined on the Academic Honor Roll by six of her teammates. Senior Katie Buckheit (Fairfax, VA/Paul VI Catholic) has a 3.50 GPA and is a cognitive sciences major. Senior Allison Cappelaere (Ellicott City, MD/Centennial) is a public health and history of science and medicine major and boasts a cumulative GPA of 3.62. Senior Kristen Kozielski (Columbia, MD/Atholton) is a biomedical engineering major with a GPA of 3.66. Junior KC Stingl (Mission Viejo, CA/Vivian Webb) has a GPA of 3.72 and is a behavioral biology major. Junior Brittany Zimmer (Melville, NY/Half Hollow Hills East) is an international studies major with a GPA of 3.83. Sophomore Sarah Feicht (Austin, TX) is a chemical and biomolecular engineer with a cumulative GPA of 3.76.
Hopkins now has 37 players all-time named to the Academic Honor Roll.
