Jackanich Named AVCA All-Region Honorable Mention

LEXINGTON, KY - Johns Hopkins junior Kim Jackanich (Pacifica, CA/St. Ignatius College Prep) was named an American Volleyball Coaches Association All-Region Honorable Mention selection for the Mid-Atlantic Region on Thursday. This is the first time in Jackanich's career that she has earned all-region honors from AVCA.
Jackanich has played in 92 of a possible 100 games for the Blue Jays. She is third on the team with 253 kills and a hitting percentage of .269. Jackanich has 93 assists and 21 service aces to go along with 311 digs. She has recorded seven double-doubles (kills/digs) and led the team for digs in a three-game match with 20 versus Gettysburg. Jackanich has posted a career-high in assists (93) and digs (311) this season.
Jackanich and the Blue Jays return to action on Saturday, November 10 against Washington & Jefferson. The two teams will battle at 1 p.m. as part of the semifinals of the ECAC South Volleyball Tournament hosted by Carnegie Mellon.
