BALTIMORE, MD - Recap The Johns Hopkins volleyball team closed out its regular season schedule with a 3-0 victory over the Ursinus Bears. The Blue Jays rebounded from a 3-0 defeat they suffered last Wednesday on the road against the Green Terror of McDaniel. Although the loss to McDaniel dropped the Blue Jays out of a three-way tie for first place in the Centennial Conference, Hopkins is still the No. 3 seed heading into the conference tournament.

Head coach Greg Giovanazzi and the Blue Jays ended their regular season at 20-6 (8-2 CC).

Brittany Zimmer (Melville, NY/Half Hollow Hills East) had six kills to lead Hopkins past Ursinus, 25-17 in the first set. Hopkins recorded 17 total kills in the first set alone. The Blue Jays would go on to claim the match, 3-0.

Alex
Zenoff (San Francisco, CA/San Francisco University HS), who had nine kills, led the Blue Jays over Ursinus. Senior Amanda Lewis (San Antonio, TX/ St. Mary's Hall) recorded 21 assists and inches to within 33 of the Centennial Conference career assist record. Junior Allison Cappelaere (Ellicott City, MD/Centennial) added 13 digs, while junior Rhea Alexander (Roseville, CA/Roseville) and Lewis each had seven digs for Hopkins.

Leading Hopkins against McDaniel on Wednesday was junior Rhea Alexander (Roseville, CA/Roseville) with 20 digs, while senior Amanda Lewis (San Antonio, TX/St. Mary's Hall) recorded her second consecutive double-double with 10 kills and 15 assists.
