BALTIMORE, MD - The Johns Hopkins volleyball team extended its Centennial Conference win-streak to three with its victory over the Swarthmore Garnet on Saturday in Goldfarb Gymnasium. The Blue Jays rise to 17-5 (5-1 CC), while Swarthmore slips to 5-15 (1-5 CC) on the season.

Hopkins raced easily to a 25-9 victory over the Garnet in the first set, leading the set in its entirety. Senior Amanda Lewis (San Antonio, TX/ St. Mary's Hall) record four of her seven kills in the first stanza.

Swarthmore took its first lead of the match 5-4 in the second set off a Hopkins ball-handling error. The Garnet would lead the set four more times before the Blue Jays took over, tying the score at 13 and never looking back. A Brittany Zimmer (Melville, NY/Half Hollow Hills East) kill capped a 12-3 run to end the second set, 25-16.

The Blue Jays weren't able to take control of the third set until the seventh point, tying the Garnet and gaining the advantage soon after. An 18-7 Hopkins rally would end the third set, 25-14 in favor of the Blue Jays. Hopkins claimed the match, 3-0, marking the eighth 3-0 Blue Jay victory this season.

Sophomore Alica Diehl (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty) and senior Kim Jackanich (Pacifica, CA/St. Ignatius College Prep) led the Blue Jays with eight digs apiece.
