Johns Hopkins Defeats Muhlenberg, Montclair State

ALLENTOWN, PA - The Johns Hopkins volleyball team swept Muhlenberg and dropped Montclair State, 3-1, on Saturday afternoon in Allentown, PA. The Blue Jays improve to 14-11 with the two wins.
Hopkins took down Muhlenberg by set scores of 25-11, 25-15 and 25-19 to drop the Mules to 2-19 (0-6 CC). Junior Melissa Cole led the Blue Jays with 11 kills, while classmate Sarah Feicht added seven kills. Sophomore Becky Paynter totaled 28 assists in the win.
Junior Davi Gordon led the Mules in kills with 12, while freshman Morgan Duggan totaled 20 assists and seven digs in the loss.
Paynter paced the Blue Jays in the second match against Montclair State with 36 assists and five kills. Sophomore Carolyn Mickelson led Hopkins in kills with 14, while Feicht added eight kills.
The Blue Jays return to the court on Saturday, October 23 at Bryn Mawr at 11 am.
