Lauren Petrick begins year three of her collegiate coaching career at Hopkins as an assistant to Pennewill. Petrick helped JHU to its first-ever Centennial Conference regular season title in her first season (2005) and a 15-12 mark last season.
The Denton, MD native was part of a Frostburg State team that went 100-38, won three Alleghany Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) championships and made three NCAA tournament appearances during her career (2001-04).
Petrick made significant individual contributions at FSU, both on the court and in the classroom. Three times, she was named AMCC Player of the Year (2002-04) and also broke the school's single-season and career records for service aces. Petrick was a Third Team CoSIDA Academic All-American as a senior. At the time she was just the fourth athlete in schol history to earn Academic All-America honors.
While coaching at Hopkins, Petrick, who holds an accounting degree, is completing work towards her masters in accounting and business advisory services at the University of Baltimore.
