Assistant Coach

Darla Mae Pennewill begins her fifth season as a Blue Jay assistant, having helped the team to an 80-38 mark since arriving at Hopkins. While Pennewill has been an assistant coach the Blue Jays have played in two Centennial Conference Championship matches and won the 2005 Centennial regular season title.

A 1982 graduate of Slippery Rock, Pennewill took over as the head coach at Susquehannock High School in 1984. She began coaching the South Central Pennsylvania Girl's Volleyball Association (South PA's) club team in 1985. As the head coach of the South PA's, she guided the club to a prestigious East Coast Championship in 1994, taking the title in a field of more than 160 teams. Along with serving as the team's head coach, she was also the athletic director of the program.
