SWARTHMORE, PA - The Johns Hopkins track & field team sent a handful of student-athletes to the Swarthmore Last Chance Meet on Monday. Junior Laura Paulsen used her performance in the 1,500 meter run to qualify for the NCAA Championships. Paulsen finished in 4:34.56 to break the school record as she qualified for her second event of the championship meet. Senior Rachel Hogen just missed an NCAA qualifying mark with her 4:40.66 time in the 1,500 meter.

Senior Jordan Ireton placed 15th in the 800 meter at 2:15.57, while senior Emma Hiza ran her 5,000 meter run in 18:05.81.

Ted Heron also competed in the javelin, tossing it 43.77 meters to round out the Blue Jay performances.
