LANCASTER, PA - After a standout performance at the Penn Relays last week, freshman Hannah Eckstein has been named the Centennial Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week, as announced by the conference office. This is the second straight week a Blue Jay has garnered this award and the first weekly award for Eckstein.

Eckstein set the school and conference record in the 5,000-meter run at the Penn Relays this past week. Eckstein took seventh at the relays in the Olympic Development section with a time of 16:50.64. Eckstein broke Laura Paulsen's school and conference record by just a tenth of a second and set the school's freshman record. Eckstein now ranks in the top-six in the nation for DIII runners in the 5K.

Eckstein and the rest of the Blue Jays will compete at the Centennial Conference championships this weekend held at Ursinus College. The championship meet will run May 4-6.
