BEREA, OH -- In the final race of her career, Johns Hopkins senior Laura Paulsen used a strong finish to earn a sixth-place finish in the 5,000-meter run at the 2010 NCAA Division III Women's Track Championships. As a finisher in the top eight, Paulsen earns All-America honors in the event.

Paulsen was in eighth place at the two-mile mark, but began a finishing kick that resulted in the sixth-place showing. At the end of the grueling race, she covered the final 200 meters in 33 seconds to jump from eighth to sixth and finish with a season-best time of 17:06.
