CHESTER, PA - The Johns Hopkins women's track and field team competed at the Widener Invitational on Saturday. Giselle Joseph broke a school record with her time in the 200-meter dash.

Joseph ran a 26.02 in the 200-meter dash to finish 12th and break a school record that had stood for 19 years. Joseph also finished 10th in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.71. Laura Paulsen was fourth in the 1,500-meter run after crossing the line with a time of 4:42.33. Teammate Rachel Hogen was eighth in the 1,500-meters with a time of 4:45.15.

Sophomore Emma Hiza was third in the 5,000-meters with a time of 18:56.33. Freshman Mary O'Grady claimed fifth place in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 12:33.13. Mira Patel finished 13th in the 800-meter run, crossing the line with a time of 2:27.08.

Amarichi Onyima was seventh in the shot put with a throw of 10.91m

The Blue Jays will return to action this weekend as several members of the squad compete at the Penn Relays.
