TERRE HAUTE, IN - The Johns Hopkins women's indoor track & field squad returned a pair of impressive performances at the NCAA Championships on Friday at the Rose Hulman Institute.

Junior Laura Paulsen tied Wisconsin-Oskosh's Ayla Mitchell for the best one-mile qualifying mark in the preliminaries at 4:59.99. Paulsen moves on to compete in the finals on Saturday at 2 p.m.

The women's distance medley team of Rachel Hogen, Paula Osborn, Jordan Ireton and Laura Paulsen placed seventh at 11:57.81 behind Tufts, St. Thomas, Wartburg, College of New Jersey, Loras and Calvin.
