Hopkins Tied for Third After Day One of the Centennial Conference Championships

HAVERFORD, PA - The Johns Hopkins women's track and field team is tied for third after day one of the Centennial Conference Indoor Championships hosted by Haverford. Haverford and Dickinson occupy the top two spots with 57.5 and 38 points respectively while the Blue Jays are tied with Muhlenberg as both teams have 30 points.
Freshman Laura Paulsen captured the one-mile run as she recorded a meet record 5:03.21. Rachel Hogen finished fifth in the mile with a time of 5:14.53. Hogen's time qualifies her for the ECAC Championship meet.
The distance medley relay team of Mary O'Grady, Kiele Raymond, Mira Patel and Hogen finished third in their race with a time of 13:03.41. The distance medley relay team qualified for ECAC's with their time on Saturday. Jessica Reeves was second in the pole vault with a final leap of 2.89m while Megan Wei finished tied for sixth with a leap of 2.59m.
Emma Hiza was 11th in the 5,000 meter run as she crossed the line in 19:11.88.
Hopkins returns to action tomorrow as the Centennial Conference Indoor Championships comes to a close with day two action.
