LANDOVER, MD - The Johns Hopkins women's track and field team competed at the University of Maryland Terrapin Invitational on Saturday in Landover, MD. The Blue Jays received a strong performance from several of its distance runners on the day.

Freshman Laura Paulsen placed fourth in the one mile run for the Blue Jays. She crossed the line in 5:11.13, coming across the line behind a trio of Division I runners from Maryland and Loyola (MD). Paulsen was the only Division III runner to finish in the top ten in that event.

Freshman Nadia McMillan finished 13th in the 3,000 meters on Saturday. McMillan was the only Division III runner to finish in the top 15th as she crossed the line in 10:48.29.Amarichi Onyima finished tied for 16th in the shot put with a throw of 11.55m.

The track and field team will be back in action next Saturday, January 27th at the Dickinson Invitational in Carlisle, PA.
