BALTIMORE, MD - Johns Hopkins women's tennis players Anita Bhamidipati (Egg Harbor Township, NJ/Egg Harbor Township High School) and Carolyn Warren (Boulder, CO/Fairview) closed out the 2009-10 season by earning All-America honors from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA). Bhamidipati was named an All-American in doubles, while Warren earned the honor for both singles and doubles.

Bhamidipati capped a stellar career with her second All-America honor in doubles. She earned All-America honors in doubles as a freshman (2007), along with Brittany Matava '07, as the pair became the first All-Americans in program history. Bhamidipati finished her career with an overall singles record of 60-23 (.723), to rank second all-time, and a Centennial Conference record of 28-0. She is tied for the school single-season record for singles wins (21, 2006-07). In doubles, she finished with an overall record of 57-26 (.687), third all-time, and a Centennial Conference record of 25-1 (.962). Bhamidipati went 10-10 this season in singles and 11-12 in doubles to earn First Team All-Centennial Conference honors in both. She is one of the most decorated players in school history with seven All-Centennial Conference honors, three Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll selections, three ITA Scholar-Athlete selections, two ITA All-America selections and three CoSIDA Academic All-District selections. She finished the 2009-10 season ranked 25th in the Atlantic South in singles and in doubles, she and Warren finished tied for 10th nationally, a program-best.

Warren is the first player in program history to earn ITA All-America honors in singles. This season she went 19-11 in singles and 14-14 in doubles. In her first two seasons, she has amassed a singles record of 37-19 (.661) and a doubles record of 25-21 (.543). She currently ranks seventh in school history in career singles wins, tied for 18th in doubles wins and 11th in total wins (62). Warren played a school-record 58 total matches this season as she earned First Team All-Centennial Conference honors in both singles and doubles. She advanced to the semifinals of the 2009 ITA Regional Championship in singles as well as the finals in the doubles draw. Warren was also selected to the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championship and finished the season ranked a program-best 15th nationally and fourth in the Atlantic South by the ITA.
