Haverford, PA - Junior Kevin Alford (O'Fallon, IL/O'Fallon Township) fell to Asfand Farouk of Washington College in the men's singles semifinals as Johns Hopkins competed in the final day of the Centennial Conference Tennis Championships on the campus of Haverford College.

Farouk defeated Alford 6-2, 6-3 in the semifinals and will face Washington teammate Peter Taylor in the men's singles final on Monday. Taylor topped Peter Law of Haverford 6-0, 6-0 in Sunday's other semifinal.

In the men's doubles final, top-seeded Alford and freshman Justin Belisario (Los Angeles, CA/Loyola) were defeated by No. 2 seed Rafael Martins and Taylor of Washington 6-2, 6-2.

Swarthmore's Anjani Reddy defeated Washington's Ne'ko Browder 6-1, 6-3 in the women's singles final, while Alyssa Kennedy and Anya Moyston of Haverford topped Washington's Browder and Devon Hufnal in the women's doubles final.

The JHU men's tennis team finished its spring season 7-3 overall and 6-2 in the Centennial Conference, while the women's team finished 9-3 overall and 8-2 in the league.
