BALTIMORE, MD - Johns Hopkins women's swimming freshman Margaret Spach (Laguna Niguel, CA/Aliso Niguel) has been named the Bluegrass Mountain Conference Women's Swimmer of the Week for her performance in JHU's dual meet at Maryland.
Spach swam two NCAA Division III B cuts in the Blue Jay's dual meet loss against Maryland. The freshman swam a time of 2:08.85 and was the top finisher for Johns Hopkins in the 200 Backstroke. She followed up this performance by scoring her second B cut in the 200 IM with a time of 2:08.73. Her time in the 200 IM was the fourth fastest in Johns Hopkins history.
Hopkins returns to action on Saturday, Nov. 1 when Franklin & Marshall visits the Newton White Athletic Center Natatorium. The dual meet between the Blue Jays and the Diplomats is set to begin at 11:00 am.
