July 26, 2012
BALTIMORE, MD - Johns Hopkins swim coach George Kennedy announced today that Nikki Kett will join the Blue Jay coaching staff as an assistant coach. She takes over for Dani Korman, who joined the Yale swimming and diving staff after four years at Homewood. Kett joins the Blue Jay staff after an All-America career at Kenyon College. A 2012 graduate of Kenyon and captain of the Ladies as a senior, Kett earned All-America honors 11 times in her four seasons. She garnered All-America honors in the 200 IM, 400 IM and 200 Breast as a freshman, helping Kenyon to its 23rd NCAA title. As a sophomore, she repeated as an All-American in the same three events and was honored as the team's recipient of the Daniel G. Ray Memorial Trophy, given to the varsity swimmer chosen by her teammates and coach as the most valuable member of the squad. Kett once again took home All-America honors in the 400 IM and the 200 Breast in 2011 as a junior. She then capped her career with All-America honors in the 100 and 200 Breast and 200 IM, while taking bronze in the 200 Breast.
