BALTIMORE, MD - Recap

The Johns Hopkins women's soccer team defeated McDaniel, 8-0 and Ursinus, 4-0 in a 2-0 week. The Blue Jays have gone unbeaten at home in the last 14 games, dating back to October 1, 2007. Hopkins secured a 10-0 Centennial Conference record with two shutout victories last week. Hopkins is the fourth team in Centennial Conference history to finish at 10-0 in Conference action and the only team to achieve the feat twice (2006, 2008).

Eight Blue Jays hit the net against the Green Terror of McDaniel on Wednesday. Freshman Erica Suter (Ellicott City, MD/River Hill), sophomore Claire Pelura (Malvern, PA/Episcopal Academy), freshman Leslie O'Brien (Huntington, NY/Huntington), freshman Paulina Goodman (Van Nuys, CA/Van Nuys), senior Francesca Peretti (North Easton, MA/Oliver Ames) and freshman Ava Scheininger (Westfield, NJ/Morristown-Beard) each scored a goal for Hopkins. Sophomore Allie Zazzali (Scotch Plains, NJ/Scotch Plains-Fanwood) added two goals and an assist for the Blue Jays against McDaniel.
