CENTERVILLE, MA - After finishing the season with a 12-4-3 record, the Johns Hopkins women's soccer team has been selected as the fourth seed in the Division III ECAC Mid-Atlantic Women's Soccer Championship. The Blue Jays won the ECAC Championship last season, defeating Franklin & Marshall, 4-0, in the semifinals and Western Maryland, 4-0, in the championship.
The Blue Jays will host fifth-seeded Franklin & Marshall on Wednesday, October 31 at 7:00 p.m. in the first round, while six-seeded Gettysburg and third-seed Carnegie Mellon meet in the other first round match on Wednesday. Top-seed Misericordia and second-seeded Lebanon Valley receive a bye into the semifinal round.
Lebanon Valley will host both semifinal games on Saturday, November 3. The winner of the Hopkins/Franklin & Marshall game will play Misericordia in one semifinal at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, followed by the second semifinal between the Gettysburg/Carnegie Mellon winner and host Lebanon Valley at 2:00 p.m.
The championship game will feature the two semifinal winners on Sunday, November 4 at Lebanon Valley at 1:00 p.m.
