LANCASTER, PA – Senior forward Michelle Santangelo of the Johns Hopkins women’s soccer team has been named the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week. She earned the honor for the second time this season as she scored three goals in Hopkins’ 6-0 win over Ursinus on Saturday.

Santangelo is just the third player in JHU team history to register more than two hat tricks in both a season and career, joining Hannah Kronick and Sarah Parola who have five and three respectively. For the season, the West Babylon, NY native has 12 goals and 27 points, both of which rank second in the conference.

The Blue Jays are currently 13-2-1 with an 8-0 mark in league play and are ranked 10th in the country. JHU will return to the field on Wednesday, October 25 as they will travel to Gettysburg for a 7 pm game.
