LANCASTER, PA – Freshman forward Riley O’Toole of the Johns Hopkins women’s soccer team has been named the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week for her three goal, six-point performance during the Blue Jays' 2-0 week.
Down 1-0 on Wednesday night against Dickinson, O’Toole tied the game at 61:32 in the second half and then scored the winning goal at 85:05 as she ran down the sidelines and buried the shot in the back of the net to give the Blue Jays the 2-1 win. In the game against Muhlenberg, O’Toole broke a scoreless tie with her game-winning goal at 71:51 in the second half. Her 10 goals and 21 points this season are both second in the Centennial Conference.
Hopkins is 10-2-1 with a 5-0 mark in league play and is ranked 11th in the country. JHU will return to the field on Wednesday, October 11 as the team travels to McDaniel for a 4 pm game.
