LANCASTER, PA – Senior forward Michelle Santangelo of the Johns Hopkins women’s soccer team has been named the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week for her four-goal, eight-point performance during the Blue Jays’ 2-0 week.

Santangelo became the eighth player in Hopkins history to record multiple hat tricks as she notched her second consecutive three-goal game in the Blue Jays 8-1 victory over Rutgers-Camden on Wednesday night. She also added another goal in the 2-0 win over Washington College on Saturday. For the season, the West Babylon, NY native has seven goals and 15 points, both of which rank second in the conference and are tops on the team. Her seven goals and 15 points are both career highs.

Johns Hopkins is currently 7-1-1 with a 2-0 mark in league play and is ranked 11th in the country. JHU will return to the field on Wednesday, September 27 as it will host Stevenson for a non-conference matchup beginning at 7 pm.
