LANCASTER, PA - Johns Hopkins freshman Hannah Kronick (Westfield, NJ/Westfield), a forward on the Blue Jays' eighth-ranked women's soccer team, has been named the Centennial Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Week it was announced today. Kronick shared the honor with Gettysburg's Rachel West after leading Johns Hopkins to a 2-0 start.
Kronick got her career off to a quick start as she scored three goals and added one assist the two Johns Hopkins victories last weekend in the JHU Invitational. She scored two goals and added one assist in a 5-1 win over RPI in the season opener and then netted the game-winning goal in overtime of a 3-2 win over Carnegie Mellon. Her three goals currently lead the team, which her seven points are tied for the team-lead.
Johns Hopkins had its game scheduled for Wednesday, September 7 against top-ranked Messiah cancelled due to poor weather and travel conditions. The Blue Jays will return to action on Saturday, September 10 when they take on Drew in the first round of the Drew Fall Festival.
