BALTIMORE - The Johns Hopkins women's soccer team will do its part in the fight against cancer, as the Blue Jays are penciled in to participate in the 10th Annual Kicks Against Breast Cancer benefit tournament on Sunday, April 9.

The event, set to take place at the Maryland Soccerplex in Germantown, features nine collegiate women's teams from the Mid-Atlantic. George Mason, Georgetown, Loyola (Md.), Maryland, Navy, Old Dominion, Virginia and William & Mary will compete along with the Blue Jays in this one-day tournament.

Proceeds from the event will benefit The Claudia Mayer, Cancer Resource and Image Center, along with the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults.

The tournament schedule has not been made available yet.

In 2005, Johns Hopkins finished 16-4-2 with a second round NCAA Tournament appearance.
