ALLENTOWN, PA - Senior Caitlin Moore (Landisville, PA/Hempfield) scored a pair of goals as 10th-ranked Johns Hopkins shutout Haverford, 3-0, in the semifinals of the Centennial Conference Tournament Saturday at Muhlenberg. The Blue Jays win their fourth straight, all by shutout, and improve to 15-3-0 on the season. The Fords fall to 12-3-3 with the loss.

Hopkins needed just 29 seconds to dent the scoreboard, as junior Erin Stafford (Doylestown, PA/Villa Joseph Marie) scored off a cross from junior Allie Zazzali (Scotch Plains, NJ/Scotch-Plains Fanwood) for her seventh of the season. The goal also extended her point streak to six consecutive games. Moore pushed the Blue Jays lead to two in the 31st minute with the first of her two on the day. A Hopkins cross into the Haverford box was deflected by Fords' keeper Kayleigh Herrick-Reynolds. The ball came right to Moore, who was unmarked in the box, and she slotted it home. Moore closed out the scoring in the 75th minute. After a long run up the field, she lofted the ball over Herrick-Reynolds at the top of the box and into the goal.

Hopkins held a 31-7 advantage in shots and had 11 corners to just one for Haverford. Senior goalie Karen Guszkowski (Sayreville, NJ/Cardinal McCarrick) finished with three saves to post her sixth shutout of the season and 27th of her career. Herrick-Reynolds made eight saves in the loss for Haverford.

The win advances the Blue Jays to their fifth straight eighth overall Centennial Conference championship game. Hopkins has won four straight titles and five overall since the tournament began in 2001.

Hopkins, seeded second in the tournament, will take on fifth-seeded Dickinson in the championship game at Muhlenberg. Dickinson upset host Muhlenberg in the day's first semifinal game. The championship is slated for 2:00 pm at Varsity Field in Allentown, PA.
