BALTIMORE, MD- The Johns Hopkins women's soccer team closes out its regular season with a 3-0 win at Ursinus. Three different Blue Jays scored in the shutout. With the win, Hopkins is 14-3 overall and 9-1 in the Centennial Conference. Ursinus falls to 8-7-1 overall and 4-5-1 in the conference.

Caitlin Moore (Landisville, PA/Hempfield) opened the scoring at 36:17 of the first half beating Ursinis' goalkeeper, Clair Yergeau, one-on-one. Paulina Goodman (Sherman Oaks, CA/Van Nuys) made the score 2-0 with one minute left in the first half. The final goal of the game was scored in the 55th minute by Erin Stafford (Doylestown, PA/Villa Joseph Marie). Stafford now has six goals on the season.

Karen Guszkowski (Sayreville, NJ/Cardinal McCarrick) recorded four saves in her fifth shutout of the season. As a team, this is the Blue Jays' 12th shutout of the season. Ursinus' Yergeau made 11 saves in the contest on 24 total Blue Jay shots.

With the win, Hopkins clinches at least the second seed in the Centennial Conference Tournament on November 7-8. The location will be determined tonight when Muhlenberg and Gettysburg finish their game on October 31 at 7:00 pm. Johns Hopkins will host the tournament if Muhlenberg loses or ties the match.
