BALTIMORE, MD - A staple of the fall girl's lacrosse season will return for the 14th straight year as the Johns Hopkins women's lacrosse team will host the "Queen of the Turf" Tournament at Homewood Field on Sunday, October 19, 2014. Check in is scheduled for 10:15 to 11:15 am and the tournament will begin promptly at noon and run until 5:00 pm.
Under the direction of Johns Hopkins women's lacrosse coach Janine Tucker, the "Queen of the Turf" Tournament is an open tournament, however, players are required to have a minimum of 6-8 years of playing experience. A team must have a minimum of seven players with a maximum of 10, and each team must have a goalie. Registration is open via email (Hillary Fisher email@example.com) or at www.JHULacrosseCamps.com. A full team is required to reserve a spot (with $500 registration fee) and is first come, first served.
STX and Harrow will provide the championship and runner-up teams with prizes. In addition, there will be raffle prizes throughout the day.
