BALTIMORE, MD - After three days of scrimmaging and drills among more than 80 players at the University of Maryland Baltimore County, U.S. Lacrosse announced 36 players that will represent the U.S. women's national teams in 2010-11. The player pool will be divided into the Elite and Developmental teams. Among the 36 players selected are two with ties to Johns Hopkins. Rising junior defender Alyssa Kildare (Massapequa Park, NY/Farmingdale) and 2008 graduate Lauren Schwarzmann (M) were selected.

Kildare, a First Team All-American Lacrosse Conference and First Team All-Mid-Atlantic selection in 2010, led the team and ranked second in the ALC in caused turnovers with 28 (1.65 / game). She also led the team and ranked second in the conference in ground balls with 44 (2.59 / game). She more than tripled her number of caused turnovers from her rookie season (9) and more than doubled her ground ball total (18). Kildare was tied for second on the team in draw controls (18), while she also scored a goal from her defensive position.

Schwarzmann is making her fourth appearance with the U.S. national team as she was a member of the developmental team in 2007-08, 2008-09 and 2009-10. She was a four-time All-ALC selection during her career at Johns Hopkins and totaled 79 goals and 39 assists during her four years with the Blue Jays. She ranks among the top 10 in school Division I history in goals, assists and points and is JHU's all-time Division I scoring leader among midfielders. Schwarzmann is currently in her third season as an assistant coach at Cincinnati.
