BALTIMORE, MD – The Johns Hopkins women’s lacrosse team placed three student-athletes on the 2017 IWLCA Zag Sports Academic Honor Roll it was announced today. Earning the honor for the Blue Jays are rising seniors Eden Epner, Annie Schindler and Emily Verica. In addition, Johns Hopkins was named an IWLCA Zag Sports Academic Honor Squad.
To be eligible for the academic honor roll, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater. To qualify as an academic honor squad, the women’s lacrosse team must have posted a 3.0 or higher team GPA for the academic year.
Hopkins has been named an IWLCA Academic Honor Squad in each of the last six years. Hopkins has also produced 43 IWLCA Academic Honor Roll members since 2002 and has had at least three players selected in each of the last six seasons.
