Kildare Selected to IWLCA North-South Senior All-Star Game

BALTIMORE, MD - Recent Johns Hopkins graduate and four-year standout on the women's lacrosse team, Alyssa Kildare has been selected to participate in the 2012 IWLCA North-South Senior All-Star game. She is the 28th player overall and the ninth defender in program history to be selected to the all-star game. Kildare is also one of four student-athletes that will represent the American Lacrosse Conference (ALC). The 2012 North-South game will take place at the Champions' Cup, held at the United Sports Training Center in Downington, PA on June 16. The event will precede the IWLCA All-American banquet, which will take place at the Radisson Valley Forge in King of Prussia, PA. Kildare anchored the Johns Hopkins defense for four years, starting 67 games and leading the team in ground balls and caused turnovers in each of the last three seasons. She earned All-ALC honors in each of her four seasons and was a three-time IWLCA All-Mid-Atlantic selection. She led the Blue Jays in ground balls (29) and caused turnovers (20), while also controlling 15 draws and scoring a pair of goals in 2012. In school Division history, Kildare ranks 11th in JHU Division I history in career ground balls (129), 10th in draw controls (77), sixth in caused turnovers (83), tied for seventh in games played (69) and tied for fifth in games started.
