Tucker to Appear on NBC's Today Show on Thursday

NEW YORK, NY - Johns Hopkins women's lacrosse head coach Janine Tucker will appear on NBC's Today Show on Thursday, March 19 for its series on kids and sports. Tucker will appear in the 10 o'clock hour with Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb.

Tucker drew the eye of the Today Show after an interview she did with Lacrosse Magazine in December on recruiting multi-sport athletes. She will talk with Lee and Kotb about coaching, recruiting and her advice to parents. The article can be found here.

Tucker, the winningest coach in program history, is in her 21st year at Johns Hopkins and has led the Blue Jays to a 240-127 (.654) record. During her tenure, Hopkins has made eight NCAA Tournament appearances (four Division I, four Division III). She has coached 23 All-Americans, 59 all-conference selections, seven of her former players have been inducted into the Johns Hopkins Athletic Hall of Fame and the eighth is slated for induction next month. This season, she has led Hopkins to a 4-2 start with both losses coming to teams ranked in the top 15.
