LANCASTER, PA – Eight members of the Johns Hopkins field hockey team have been named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll it was announced recently. In addition, sophomore Jodie Baris has been named to the Academic All-Centennial Team.
To be nominated for the honor roll, a student must meet the following criteria: (a) a sophomore or higher in class standing; (b) cumulative GPA of 3.40 or higher. To earn Academic All-Centennial honors, a student-athlete must receive both all-conference and academic honor roll honors. Hopkins has now produced 79 Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll selections since 2001.
Baris, who also earned First Team All-Centennial Conference honors, boasts a 3.77 GPA with a double major in chemistry and materials science. Senior Francesca Cali earns the honor for the third time in her career and she is majoring in biology with a cumulative GPA of 3.81.
Juniors Claire Fox, Megan Ophel and Lucy Reider and sophomores Christina Glaser, Sophie Kim and Maddie Stabinski also earn the honor. Fox, who is named to the academic honor roll for the second time, is majoring in writing seminars with a 3.48 GPA. Ophel boasts a 3.53 GPA and is majoring in international studies. Reider is a mechanical engineering major with a 3.69 GPA. Glaser is majoring in cognitive science with a 3.45 GPA. Kim boasts a 3.70 GPA as a biology major and Stabinski is majoring in writing seminars and political science with a 3.60 GPA.
