LANCASTER, PA -- Johns Hopkins freshman midfielder Katie McErlean has been named to the 2016 All-Centennial Conference (CC) Field Hockey Team it was announced Monday afternoon. She is the only freshman, of the 27 players honored, on the all-conference teams.
Hopkins has now produced 85 All-CC selections since the league's inception in 1993. McErlean is just the fifth freshman in program history to earn All-CC honors and the first since 2005. She is also the 27th freshman in conference history to earn All-CC honors
McErlean started all 17 games this season and finished with eight points on two goals and four assists. She is tied for the team lead in assists and tied for third in points. She led all freshman on the team in all three offensive categories. In the conference, McErlean was tied for the league lead among all-freshmen in assists and tied for third in points.
