LANCASTER, PA - Johns Hopkins junior Maggie Phillips has been named the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon. It is her first career player of the week honor and the first for the Blue Jays since Carly Bianco earned the honor on October 18, 2010.

Phillips scored three goals on just three shots to pace Johns Hopkins to a 2-0 week and to help clinch the number three seed in the Centennial Conference Tournament. She scored the game's first goal in a 4-1 win at McDaniel on Wednesday. Phillips then scored the game-winning goal in the first half against Gettysburg. She added a second goal midway through the second half to secure a win that the Blue Jays needed to guarantee the number three seed. Phillips leads the Blue Jays and ranks fifth in the conference with a career-high 14 goals and 28 points.

Hopkins will face seven-time defending conference champion Ursinus in the semifinals on Saturday at Franklin & Marshall. The game is the second semifinals and will begin 70 minutes following the conclusion of the Noon semifinal. Top-seeded Franklin & Marshall will face the winner of the Haverford-Washington game in the first semifinal.
