LANCASTER, PA – Johns Hopkins field hockey senior Clare Kavanagh has been named the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week for her performance last week. This is her first career weekly honor from the conference.
Kavanagh scored a pair of game-winning goals as the Blue Jays locked down the top seed for this week's Centennial Conference Tournament. She tallied the first goal in Hopkins’ 3-1 win at Gettysburg and notched the winner with 59.2 seconds remaining to topple #13 Franklin & Marshall, 2-1. Kavanagh ranks second in the league with a career-high 13 goals and she is third with 29 points.
Hopkins is back in action on Friday in the Centennial Conference Semifinals. JHU will face the winner of Washington College and Haverford at 1:00 pm.
