LANCASTER, PA - Johns Hopkins field hockey senior Emily Miller (Garden City, NY/Garden City) was named the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season on Monday. The senior leads the conference in points (44) and goals (21).
Miller led the Blue Jays to a 2-1 week last week with six goals. Against Dickinson, she scored four goals, including the first three of the game as Hopkins won 6-3. On Saturday against Haverford, she scored a goal in each half en route to a 4-0 Blue Jay win. Her first goal of the day on Saturday broke the school single-season goals record (20). Miller holds school records for career points (129), career goals (56), single-season points (48) and single-season goals (21).
Hopkins (11-1, 4-0 CC) returns to action on Saturday, October 11 with a 1:00 pm match-up against Washington College. The Blue Jays and the Shorewomen are currently tied for second in the conference.
