Field Hockey



2016: Played 16 games and started 15 • led team with career-high seven goals and 15 points • also had one defensive save • assisted on game-winner in season-opener versus Washington & Lee • scored both goals in come-from-behind overtime win over Washington College • tied career-high with two goals in loss at York • scored in shutout of Swarthmore • made a defensive save in loss to Haverford • scored in shutout of Bryn Mawr • scored in loss at Gettysburg.

2015: Played 17 games and started 11 • finished with four points (1g, 2a) • notched an assist in loss to Kenyon • scored game-tying goal in come-from-behind win at Washington College • tallied an assist in win at Bryn Mawr.

2014: Played 19 games and started 17 • handed out four assists and totaled six points • ranked second on the team in assists • notched first career point, an assist, in season-opening shutout over Sweet Briar • assisted on game-winner in shutout at Eastern Mennonite • notched an assist in loss at Muhlenberg • tallied an assist in win over Bryn Mawr • scored game-winning goal at McDaniel.

Personal: Clare Kavanagh • daughter of Brian and Julia Kavanagh • earned all-state honorable mention accolades as a sophomore while helping team to state quarterfinals • named first team all-state, all-state academic first team and team MVP while leading team to state semifinals as a junior • led team to state title game as a senior while earning first team all-state, all-state academic first team and team MVP honors • played club for Denver Field Hockey Club for three years • participated in the Futures program from 2009-2014 and went to National Futures Championship from 2012-14 • majoring in neuroscience with a minor in visual arts.
