Blue Jays Open the Wells' Era on September 1

Britt Walker is in her first season at Johns Hopkins, where she will coach the Blue Jay goalkeepers and assist in all the day-to-day operations of the program. She comes to Hopkins after coaching stints at Dickinson and York College (PA).

Walker spent the 2016 season as an assistant coach with the Dickinson Red Devils, which went 12-7, including 6-4 in the Centennial Conference. Dickinson produced three All-Centennial Conference selections, two NFHCA All-Region honorees and one NFHCA All-America last season. Walker began her coaching career at York, which produced four All-Capital Athletic Conference honorees and the program's first All-American in 2015.

A 2015 graduate of Ohio University, Walker was a four-year letterwinner and three-year starter for the Bobcats. She helped Ohio to the 2011 Mid-American Conference (MAC) championship and an NCAA Tournament berth. As a sophomore, she led the MAC in goals against average (1.95) and shutouts (3) and ranked second in save percentage (.723). Walker played in 55 games and over 3,700 minutes in her career. She notched 222 saves with seven shutouts and 21 victories. She served as a Bobcat captain as a senior and was a two-time MAC All-Tournament Team selection.
