Baltimore, MD - The Johns Hopkins women's fencing team won four of its five dual meets this weekend in the White Athletic Center.

The Blue Jays opened the day with a 17-10 win over Drew, but then fell to Haverford, 15-12. Hopkins responded to win the final three duals of the day, defeating Virginia, 19-8, Virginia Tech, 15-12, and James Madison, 23-4.

The JHU sabre team went a combined 33-12 on the day and was led by senior Allison Barker (Williamsville, NY/Williamsville South), who finished a perfect 14-0. Junior Christina Giblin (Toronto, Canada/Phillips Exeter Academy) went 11-1 to pace the Hopkins foil team, which finished a combined 23-22.

Junior Georgiana Lee (Bakersfield, CA/Stockdale) went 10-1 while sophomore Caroline Grey (Tiburon, CA/San Francisco University) finished 12-3 to lead the Blue Jay epee team, which went a combined 30-15 on the day.

Hopkins returns to action on Sunday, February 2, when the Blue Jays face Stevens Tech and Temple in Hoboken, NJ.
