MADISON, NJ - The Johns Hopkins women's fencing team completed its season at the 2009 NCAA Mid Atlantic South Regional hosted by Drew University. Leading the way for the Blue Jays was freshman Lauren Chinn (Honolulu, HI/Punahou School), who placed eighth in the Epee.

In all, four Blue Jays placed in the Foil. Sophomore Corinne Warren (Fairfield, CT/Fairfield Ludlowe) placed 23rd while freshman Nicole Salter (Basking Ridge, NJ/Ridge) placed 25th. Senior Ying Guo (Fargo, ND/Fargo South) claimed 32nd place. Hopkins also had four place in the Foil, led by senior Grace Fried (Forest Hills, NY/Stuyvesant) in 21st. Following closely in 22nd place was junior Katie Kim (Garden City, NY/Garden City) and in 24th sophomore Sofia de Benedictis (London, England/Chelteham Ladies' College). Freshman Colleen Stone (Woodbury, MN/Math and Science Academy) took 28th. In the Sabre, sophomore Mary Vitale (Hampton, NJ/Voorhees) placed 16th.
