Juniors Renee Egusa and Angela Ko have been named National Scholar-Athletes by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA), announced Tuesday, May, 31. Fifty-four Division III athletes from 18 schools earned this year's award.
Egusa is a junior from Westport, Connecticut, who is majoring in Public Health at Johns Hopkins. Her classmate Ko is an East Asian Studies major from West Windsor, New Jersey.
To be nominated for the CRCA Scholar-Athlete award, a student must have a 3.5 cumulative GPA or higher, be at least a sophomore, and have rowed in her school's varsity boat for a minimum of 75% of the spring races.
