BALTIMORE, MD - Junior Rebecca Williamson (Burlington, Ontario/Hillfield Strathallan) leads a quartet of Johns Hopkins women's crew team members to be named National Scholar Athletes by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) this week. Joining Williams, a two-time honoree, are senior Clare Blubaugh (Hickory, NC/St. Catherine's School (VA)) and juniors Courtney Cunningham (Holmdel, NJ/Holmdel) and Jenna Rossoff (Morristown, NJ/Morristown).
To be named a CRCA National Scholar-Athlete, a student must have a 3.5 cumulative GPA or higher, be at least a sophomore, and have rowed in her school's varsity boat for a minimum of 75% of the spring races.
Blubaugh is a psychology major with a GPA of 3.63. Cunningham boasts a 3.63 GPA in chemistry. Rossoff is also majoring in chemistry and boasts a GPA of 3.80. Williamson, who also earned the honor in 2007, is a neuroscience major with a 3.79 GPA.
